Joannie Garner is celebrating almost seventeen years of marriage to the love of her life, Tim, who has served in the military for twenty-nine years. She is a proud Mom to Josie Hope, age 13, and Seth, age 15.
Joannie has served women for the past seven years at Julia Tutwiler prison through the AGLOW organization. She also founded the women’s ministry Beautiful Warriors eight years ago as the result of an emotionally painful experience. She has found purpose in her life in sharing God’s truth through these avenues.
Joannie’s passion and commitment to helping other women stems in part from losing her own mother at the age of twelve and dealing with a father who was absent from her life due to his own battle with various addictions. Joannie has appeared on local Montgomery television stations and local radio stations sharing her journey in overcoming these tragedies in her life.
After serving in the military for six years, Joannie left active military duty to raise her family. She has a Biblical counseling degree and is a certified Health Coach. She is blessed to work from home educating families about the relationship between nutrition and disease, while encouraging them to discover their purpose and identity in Jesus. She understands the necessity of self-care, and enjoys making this a part of her daily routine and teaching others to do so as a means of improving their lives.
Joannie refers to herself as a Joy Coach. She is a true “foodie” who enjoys traveling, reading, physical exercise, and spending time outdoors with her family enjoying nature.
