Isa 60:1-2 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
What a wonderful call to the souls of those who have been called to manifest that they are the children of the King of kings! It is time for those that know the LORD of glory in an intimate relationship to stand up. It is time for us to shine the Light of love that He has placed in our hearts. It is time for us to leave all judgment in the hands of the only Wise and True Judge and pray for grace that we might be used by Him for the help of His people. Oh for grace to acknowledge that our Light is come. What joy this should kindle in our very souls, to understand that our Light is come! What a blessing to understand that Jesus has shined in the darkness of our being, and the darkness could not prevent that Light! Could there possibly be any greater encouragement for us than the declaration that the glory of the LORD is illuminating us!
It is evident that there is great darkness in the carnality of men. The earth is covered with the greed, hate, and sorrow that men visit upon each other. BUT THE LORD! How marvelous that He has assured us that He shall arise upon us. How wonderful that He has assured us that He would use us to display His glory! Whatever it is that might be keeping us from standing up and rejoicing in the Light of His love, I pray that it might be cast down by His mighty arm. I pray that we might see the work done in the earth by His arising and displaying His glory in His children for the entire world to see and marvel at.
LORD, be mighty in us that we might give all honor and glory to you!
